WVU Police to be part of inaugural Morgantown National Night Out

West Virginia University Police officers will join representatives from the City of Morgantown, Morgantown Police Department, BOPARC, and other community agencies in welcoming Morgantown residents and local businesses to the city’s first National Night Out from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday (Aug. 5) at Krepps Park.

National Night Out is a free, community-wide event that provides opportunities to interact with police, firefighters, additional first responders, and representatives from other community services, and participate in hands-on activities, games, and interactive safety demonstrations.

Enjoy free food, equipment displays, bounce houses, pool access, giveaways, and many other fun activities for all ages.

A bell will be rung in honor of fallen officers and first responders in the community, followed by a brief community message and a moment of silence.

Parking at Krepps Park, located at 1235 Parkview Drive, will be limited to event staff, registered vendors, and those requiring handicap-accessible parking.

General event parking will be provided by CMA Church of Morgantown, 308 Elmhurst Street.
