Michael Mucciola serves our University as the Clery Act Coordinator. In this role, he ensures that our University complies with all requirements set forth in the Clery Act. He plays a significant role in preparing, publishing and distributing the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report for all WVU campuses. In addition, he regularly works to identify and train designated Campus Security Authorities (CSA) and reviews all applicable crime reports for inclusion in the Annual Clery Act Crime Statistics.
Through his work, Michael helps the University Police Department maintain a safe campus and works closely with many campus partners from all areas of campus.
Michael previously served the state of West Virginia as a State Trooper from 2011-2018. In 2018, he began working at the University as a Title IX Investigator and transitioned into the Clery Act Coordinator role in January 2022.
