The West Virginia University Police Department (UPD) has launched a new online safety module to provide our campus community with on-demand safety information.
Developed as a result of recent community feedback on the desire for more training opportunities, the Campus Safety Online Training module was designed to provide our campus community with critical knowledge and skills to enhance their safety in a variety of situations.
The module covers the following safety topics:
- active shooter preparedness;
- gun safety and Campus Carry;
- de-escalation and workplace violence;
- fire and building evacuations; and
- suspicious packages and bomb threats.
Access the module online at any time.
While the module provides ample information on these topics, interested groups can always request more in-depth training classes from the UPD team.
